Paradise Home is a Public Charitable trust which was started in the year 1991 with the special purpose of training the mentally challenged Children and making them self-supporting so that they can have a normal life in the society. In Chennai, institutions that take care of mentally challenged children send them back to their parents when they attain 15 years of age thereby making their future uncertain. To obviate this problem we take care of the children throughout their life. Moreover, we admit children irrespective of their age, caste, creed and financial status.
We made a humble beginning with a couple of children in a rented building at Madipakkam in the outskirts of Chennai in the year 1991 and grew slowly and at present we have 90 Children under our care. As the rented building was not sufficient to accommodate all the inmates, we moved out to our own building at Muttukadu Village with the help received as donations from Charitable institutions and Philanthropists. Our new Building is 8000.sq.ft and our Old Building is 1200.sq.ft. in size.
