Feeding 300 Poor Families

ABOUT THE EVENT

Due to covid-19, poor people mainly those who are living in huts and based on daily wages from unskilled labour work are really suffering. They have no source of income, and no food to eat. They resort to congregating on the streets searching for food for their families. This in turn poses as a great threat in the spread of the virus. We would like to purchase basic food and essential items for these families and distribute it to them so they can stay safe in their homes.

We are hoping to receive help from you to feed 300 such families.

Shine Trust

Shine Trust is Registered under the Trust Act as Charitable trust on 02.05.2013, by the Founder Mrs.S.Bhuvaneswari.

Mrs.S.Bhuvaneswari is screened and trained by various other social service organizations. She is involved in various social activities and is a very caring person for the downtrodden slum people.The trust focusses on the development of the families and eradication of poverty among the slum areas. With the help of her friends, family and well-wishers she has been able to help many slum dwellers by providing food and basic needs so far.

Shine Trust also works to provide classes to the women in the slum areas in tailoring, making them more independent and additional earners in the family.

Vision of the Organization:Providing Free Food, distributing clothes and providing Quality education & Rehabilitation for all poor people especially children in the slum areas.

We would like to thank â€œ Chennai Task Forceâ€ for providing provisions to 200 of the 300 families. Our goal now is to raise money for the remaining 100 families, so please do support the cause and help us raise another Rs. 50,000.
