The impact of Nivar cyclone, as expected, is the worst for those living in thatched roof houses. We have seen this from our Gaja cyclone experience.

The demand for temporary roof, over damaged homes, is significant. Till relief is provided and permanent repairs are done they need to live, they have to work. Bhoomika Trust and it partner NGO's have has identified settlements across Chengulpet and Tiruvallur districts which are a bit remote , which need these temporary roof cover urgently. We will be procuring and providing tarpaulins.

Donate Rs. 1200 to provide a family with tarpaulin.

Disaster Relief: By responding through the three phases of Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation with the objective of impacting them to become resilient communities.

We have contributed through Disaster relief over a decade across India. We have established protocols for:

1. Rescue coordination of affected citizens with official rescue teams, through technology and social media.

2. Provision of relief materials beyond the first week of disaster because Citizens are first respondents for immediate relief materials like food and clothes and they step back after a week.

3.Rehabilitation through repairs of structures, mainly schools and building of new schools.

4. Building NGO and local volunteer body network to enable smooth and timely delivery of relief and rehabilitation support
